Never played it and after the first thing was stolen from me I would've quit. I don't abide theft even in a game. Going out of your way to take something of mine without my being compensated is theft and technically scamming is theft and a skill but it's a skill that rates right up there with wife beating in being a desirable trait.

Actually, I just re-read my post and realized I didn't really answer the question. If they implemented it in PvP it wouldn't be scamming but just try to get close enough, for long enough, to steal something We aren't talking about PvP though are we?

People become jerks on the internet is because you let them, honestly they know they can make you cry at your desktop because you let them. If some one calls me a noob or insults my mom online iam not going to say STOP IT your insulting me it hurts!!! Because iam super sensitive!! Just ignore them or go on with your own business or insult them back.
Just like in real life there are people who stomp on people and people who let people stomp all over them.

A lot of the people that act like jerks on the internet do it because they enjoy getting a rise out of people who are offended by their actions or words, telling them that they are rude or responding with insults will just let them know that you're a good person to pick on and that they have a lot more fun with you if they can continue pushing your buttons.
Purpose in me posting what? What you've quoted or the origional message?
If you mean the origional message then it's because I believe there is a small % of people out there who might think twice before accusing someone of taking an online game too seriously.

Lol, between this and some other threads I've seen people post, I think I could have done worse. Shame it turned into a flaming match, soon as the mods log in this thread is gonna be closed down but hey ho. I think the responce has sort of idicated how strongly people actually FEEL about this issue so if anything, it's at least made the bonds between those who feel the same that much stronger.

Isn't that what a Forum's about? People conversing over a common interest?

Then like i said if scamming is so wrong why allow your selves to be scammed? I have yet to be scammed in a mmorpg and i have played them since pre beta UO. It takes intelligence and street smarts to out smart a scammer. Like i said if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

Come on i offered the guy 200k for a trip to kryta and he didnt even asked to check if i had the 200k....common sence people.

Man, you just "preform" in bed? And you don't do anything else?

That's why you're so mean!

PM me, I'll explain you a few things in a simple and discrete way.

Fair enough, if your best mate came round your house, stood behind you and said you were crap at GW's.. what then.

My example to was to try and make you see that you are insulting people's ability to play a computer game. That's an insult. Duh.

The sentence you just posted is one of the most hilarious things I read lately. I can't even focus on the content, I'm still laughing at the grammar. You're a rare find...a brute, a pre-historical man with no insight, let alone respect for others. I thought they didn't exist anymore.

Your attempts at being smart make you look like an elephant who's trying not to be invasive in the women's bathroom.

Please give me your phone number (with area code) so I can find out where you live, anonymously call you up, call you a Mother ******, make various death threats and then sift through your mail so I can steal your identity.

Any problem with that?

Another one taking online gamming too far. If you think this is the same thing as online gamming, then you have probs.

Not to get off topic but in world of warcraft there was this quest called rattling the rattlecages. Then i would tell people to insult them that they better not rattle my rattlecage or id spank dat butt.

Then i quit WoW. True story.

That just means you are a man of low or little morals. It takes a certain type of person to scam, and a certain type of person not to scam. You're either one or the other, and one of em aint very nice.

A person is defined by one's actions. I wonder what people think of you?
You say insulting people is a way of life in online gaming and if you can't handle it there, then you can't handle it in real life. I say people skills will be MORE important to you in life than the ability to have thick skin.

Maybe you should redirect the priorities of your personality?

Well.. you seem to be doing a pretty poor impression of people skills right now, mate. Or is this all make believe too?
Don't tell me... you're a 36 year old divorced mother of three, and you enjoy flower pressing in your spare time?

Okay, maybe the Identity Theft was going too far.

But tell me this. What's the difference between someone you don't know a Mother ****** over the internet and over the phone? What about making a death threat?

Okay, well i'm done with this thread. It's not like I really added anything to it anyways. I would just like to say i'm glad Hell Raiser spoke up because now I know to avoid him in game, along with the low life guild that recruited him.

I was just curious as to whether you wanted to discuss the issue with likeminded people or if you were actually trying to convince people to not act like jerks. From your first post, it sounded like you were trying to accomplish the latter, which is quite unlikely. As I stated earlier, a lot of the people acting like jerks are acting like jerks because they like to get other people agitated. Telling them that they are agitating people is telling them something they already know, and if anything it's just going to further reinforce their behavior since they love people who take them seriously and react to them.
